Personal AI academic tutor
University briefs are complicated.
Niklaus makes them simple.
Niklaus is your personal AI academic tutor. It helps you understand what your brief is actually asking, plan your work against your real deadline, ask questions as you go, and improve what you've already written — inside your own Project, not a generic chat window.
No card. No email required to create an account.
The problem
Your brief already tells you what to do. It just doesn't feel that way.
Most briefs bury the actual task inside:
- academic jargon and terminology you're expected to already know
- marking criteria that don't say plainly where the marks actually are
- frameworks and theories referenced by name, not explained
- several deliverables folded into one instruction sheet
- formatting and submission rules easy to miss until it's too late
Niklaus reads the brief the way a tutor would — and tells you, in plain conversational English, what it actually wants from you.
Two ways to work with Niklaus
Wherever you are in the assignment, Niklaus meets you there.
I have an assignment brief

Every tool, explained
The seven tools inside every Niklaus Project.
Explain My Brief Simply
Turns a dense university brief into plain conversational English — what's being asked, key terminology, marking weight, and a sensible order of work.
Ask Niklaus
A tutor that already has your brief in context. Ask about theories, structure, sources or anything unclear — specific to your assignment, not generic chat.
Grammar & Clarity Check
Improves grammar, flow and clarity in your own writing, without changing what you meant to say.
Paraphrase My Writing
Rephrases your draft while preserving your meaning, arguments, citations and references.
Charts & Tables
Builds relevant academic or business visuals from your assignment's own data or context.
Create Presentation
Turns your own academic work into a structured, presentable slide deck.
Study Plan & Gantt Chart
A realistic schedule from today to your real deadline, built around your actual available hours — honest about shortfalls.
See exactly what each tool costs in KLAUS in Pricing.
Niklaus works with the context of your assignment.
Ask Niklaus a question, request a chart, or check your grammar, and it starts from the brief and work you've already uploaded to that Project — not a blank chat window. You don't re-explain your assignment every time you open a tool.
Study Plan & Gantt Chart
Your deadline. Your available time. A realistic plan.
Tell Niklaus your deadline and how many hours you can genuinely give it each week. Niklaus compares the estimated workload with the time you actually have available, and builds a schedule — with a real Gantt chart — around it.
If the estimated workload doesn't fit, Niklaus says so plainly, and tells you roughly how much extra time you'd need to find each week.
Built for learning, not for shortcuts.
Explain first. Demonstrate second.
Niklaus helps you understand your assignment, plan your work, and improve your own writing — it doesn't submit anything on your behalf, and it isn't built to help you appear to have written something you didn't. Where Niklaus shows a full worked example, it's always labelled an Academic Learning Example: a demonstration of structure, research approach and academic standard, clearly marked as not for submission. You're responsible for your own academic work and for following your institution's policies.
No detector bypassing. No claims that work is AI-free. No guaranteed grades.
No real name required
Niklaus does not ask for your real first name or surname.
No student ID required
Your university student number is never part of the account model.
Privacy by design
Only the information necessary to operate your account is retained.

What each tool costs
Every KLAUS number below is read directly from the same pricing constants the app charges against — not a separate, hand-typed figure.
| Tool | What it costs |

| Explain My Brief Simply | 600 KLAUS |
| Ask Niklaus | 200 KLAUS per question |
| Grammar & Clarity Check | 300 + 60 per started 250 words (e.g. 500 words → 420 KLAUS) |
| Paraphrase My Writing | 350 + 70 per started 250 words (e.g. 500 words → 490 KLAUS) |
| Charts & Tables | 500 KLAUS (finding candidates is free) |
| Study Plan & Gantt Chart | 600 KLAUS |
| Create Presentation (from your work) | 80 KLAUS per slide |
| Academic Learning Example | 1 KLAUS per generated word |
| Presentation Support (from a Learning Example) | 2 KLAUS per generated word |
